Montana Pearl Harbor Survivor License Plate ('Retired')My Father-in-Law, 93 yesterday (Happy Birthday, Dad!), is a Pearl Harbor Survivor, and retired after doing 20+ in the Navy, and another 10 or so at the shipyard, helping to build submarines for the fleet. Pearl Harbor Survivor Plate: If the veteran was a member of the United States Armed Forces on December 7, 1941, and during the hours of 7:55 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. (Hawaii time) was on station at Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu or was offshore from Pearl Harbor at a distance of not more than 3 miles, the veteran may be issued special license plates designed to show that the veteran is a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack. https://myarmybenefits.us.army.mil/EN/Benefits/FactSheets/Regional/MT/ I myself did 7 and some change, the last 4 or so in the
Western Pacific, hanging out between missile shots, and gunfire support watches, with some of the guys
pictured below... (...Yeah, I suppose you could figure out which one I am, if you tried hard enough. I was a LOT better looking back then ...grin.)
